Ashlee M. Edwards graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. While attending UCSB, Ms. Edwards studied global peace and security as well as participation in a program directed at cultural immersion.
Ms. Edwards earned her Juris Doctorate from Western State College of Law in 2013. During this time, Ms. Edwards served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, Chair leader of the Public Service Committee, Moot Court Director of National Competitions, as well as held various positions on student organizations. Additional accomplishments include Dean’s fellow and honors recognitions. Furthermore, Ms. Edwards mentored students and received the Wallace R. Davis Public Service Award in recognition of her service.
Beyond academia, public service has always been an important part of Ms. Edwards’ life. As Chair Leader of the Western State’s Public Service Committee Ms. Edwards organized blood drives, mentor programs, training sessions with the Public Law Center, Easter Fair’s for the Children at Orange Wood and many more.
Ms. Edwards began her legal experience prior to law school when she interned at the Santa Barbara’s District Attorney’s Office. Throughout law school Ms. Edwards worked primarily in employment law and externed for the Honorable Judge Moberly in the Superior Court of Orange County in Civil Unlimited.
